The last couple of days my 172 has felt very twitchy and unsafe on the back end.
A quick look revealed that the passenger side rear shocker covered in oil and also noticed damp patches on the drive so a fairly bad leak at that.
A quick ring around sourced a pair of 182 shockers. So a trip out to pick em up and half an hour job to fit, plus rear strut brace that's been waiting to go on and the car feels stable and planted again.
A real shame as the car had Trophy items. But the drivers side also had a problem as the rubber top mount had come apart and the (already broken) top threaded rod was rusty.
They have been wiped as one was black with oil.
