Federal 595 RSR are my favourite tyre of the moment, almost as good in the dry as a 888/A048/MPSC and almost as good in the wet as a rainsport.
They last quite well too.
Downside is some people have had reliability problems, but so far they have been ok for me.
We use them now as an all rounder tyre for trackdays in terms of going to and from, and for if its wet or damp, and then only swap to MPSC if its utterly gone dry, just to save tearing the RSRs up with my overly aggressive driving style, lol
If its road legal dry trackday tyre then the michelin pilot sport cup is the clear winner IMHO, but put them down a wet country lane and you are likely to end up in a ditch.
Uniroyal RS2 rainsport I like for daily use and particuarly as a wet tyre, but they dont last 5 mins if you drive them hard in the dry.
It really is very application specific.
All rounder though, IMHO nothing else Ive tried can quite compete with the RSR federal, they seem to do everything at least 8/10
Loved......LOVED Uniroyal RainSport 2's as mentioned above...........really not enjoying Conti CS3's which i expected more from.
I would say that the best tyre would be the PS3 to be honest, haven't tried them myself but the exalto's that were on mine performed better than the Conti's even though they were at the legal limit.
