tyre pressure question

  53 Clio's & counting
iv noticed when pressing on a bit, either on turning into tighter corners or when coming out it feels as if i dont have enough air in the tyres, like the side wall is leaning over, now im running 32psi front 30 psi rear with goodyear eagle f1s, with eibach pro's and new renaultsport shocks

i would have thought 32 psi was about right, do i need more?

cheers ta

Thats right i think, i have mine at 32psi all round and it feels fine, however thats only becuase i found out i had them at 44psi oops, and at that pressure it constantly felt like it was weaving everytime i accelerated.

i would of said 195/45/15 may have been a better choice.

I used to run 194/40/16 and they never gave way under load.

My opinion is that the sidewall is too big with it being 195/50.

Someone correct me if im wrong tho.

to be honest bud its the size that must people with ph1's stick with, so i cant see it being a size problem? i could be wrong though lol

nope all good bud, iv had these off and on another set of wheels, and then back on these wheels, and checked and double checked as im very sceptical over tyres

Always got on with F1's (gsd3's). Have a play with the pressures, and make sure you haven't got any of the dodgy F1's that came over from Thailand!

yeah i checked this as soon as they turned up bud lol, i think il have to try a bit more pressure and go from there?

i run eagle f1's at 32 front and 30 rear on my ph2 and don't suffer from what you mention. they are new ish tyres though.
how old are your tyres?

about 50% worn matey, so should be perfect, the only thing i can put it down to is the larger sidewall with the 15s bearing in mind it is only noticable when your really pushing on

Speek to Anim@l, he just changed his F1's. They tend to loose grip as the wear out. Pe2's tend not to

iv just had a look in the manual and it says 2.3 bar in the front and 2.1 in the back, so i need a bit more in the front lol

Ive used 195/50's on 15's before and didnt notice that mate! Ran 32 front 28 rear too...

Have you ever noticed it before?

not on f1's mate, but the fronts aways seemed a bit like its leaning because of the poor state of my prev front shocks lol, now iv replaced them and the springs its like its falling over its sidewalls, only when really pushing on though mind
