Tyre pressure the same regardless of wheel size?

I've fitted some 15" alloys to replace the 13" standard wheels on my mk1.

Recommended pressure on standard wheels is 30 front, 34 rear.

But is 30/34 on standard wheels the same as 30/34 on bigger alloys?

If not, how do I know which tyre pressures to use?

  Dodgy one
What size tyres are they? TBH its personal preferance but i normally go 32 F+R as a starting point and work from there to find the best grip.

I ran 195/50/15s on my Gti6 and had the fronts at 36 and the back at 32

Try 32 at the front and 29 at the back. 36 at the back sounds like the fully laden amount not normal running about.

But yes the same pressure regardless of tyre size but play around and see what works best for you
