Tyre Pressure

Whats the optimum tyre pressure (front and rear) for road use in my mk2 172. Checked last night for the first time since I bought the car and its 35psi all round, seems a little high?

i have mine at 36/34 but lots of people seem to have like 34/32 and 32/30

i run 34/32 and that seems be okay.

i use 33/30 on 205/40/17

What i had 195/45R16 I ran 36psi front and 32psi rear found that to be the best for me. Its all personal opinion anything round those figures should be OK.

With 205/40R17 I run 33psi front and 31 rear cos they have a slighly harsher ride

on my Mk1 172 running 195/45/16s I use 32 front and 30 rear.

I have a standard MKII 172 and as stated in the manual, I have it at 2.3bar at the front and 2.1bar at the rear, which equates to 33psi and 31psi.

i wonder why they didnt change the pressures between the mk.1 and mk.2 - the mk2 has bigger wheels, surely needs different pressure?
