Tyre Swapping

Hi there,

Unfortunately, the ContiSports on my front wheels are in a pretty bad state. Although there is probably 3mm tread left in the centre of the tyre, the sidewalls have almost turned slick...

Firstly, is that normal? I don't drive like a madman so wouldn't have expected the tyres to wear as much as they have. I'm running MK 2 172 wheels on stock 172 tyres. Also, is it worth me swapping the the fronts to the rear as the rears have plently of meat left on them?

Any advice would be great ,

I`d swap them round every six months anyway, best chance to clean back of wheels!!!!!!!!!!

Wear on the edges and not in the middle can mean your type pressures are too low I believe.
