Tyre wall being shredded

Hasn't happened before, but today, had a full car, and rear drivers side wheel was being shredded, found out there is a bit inside the arch form the rear bumper that was sticking out!

Shredded all the way around my tyre wall

Got massive scratches on it no! Uber pissed off!

Didn't think Lowering by 40mm and 15mm would affect it!

Will need to take a look at its stopped raining..... i have rolled it in quickly just now, but still worried it'll scratch it again.

Been rubbing down my tyre wall to get rid of the shreds! My poor tyre

my tyres ended up shredded so i reduced spacers from 30.5mm to 25mm when i changed a539's to s-types, sidewall sticks out further

There is a bit inside the rear arch that is well known about. Most people who fit coilovers or springs grind it off to stop this happening.

Yea i've bent it inwards... but when the weather is better i'll jack the car up and have a better look.

Count yourself lucky it didn't go mate, then you would have a nackered alloy and possibly more to contend with if you lost control !
