Tyres and a Staggering quote

My PE2's are currently at 2mm front and 3mm rear so its time to replace them to allow a recent issue to be diagnosed with my car that cant be done until wheels are balanced up.

Thought i would ask how much 4 tyres were from Renault whilst the car was being looked at and the answer.....


4 x Michelin Tyres (Unknown Spec but they seem to push the Energys) fitted for the grand sum of £749.18.

Sooooo....

Onwards and I am hunting for a decent tyre 195/45/16, Thinking about the PE3's that i have found for just over £80 a corner (Not fitted) as I cant find any Hankooks in stock.

Anyone got any other suggestions

Black circles are also very good, they'll deliver and fit them at a local garage of your choice for no extra charge too.

Issue I have with Camskill,

Whilst the prices are excellent, Tyre fitters round me wont fit Tyres that are not supplied by them....

I have used Black Circles in the past and they are great.

Any other suggestions as to what tyres over the PE3's

Elite Direct in Rainham, Essex have pretty much any tyre you'd want.

Camskill are quick, but if you dont know a reasonable fitter its probably worth buying tyres from your local tyre shop.

Also, my local HiQ will price match camskill + £10/tyre fitted.

Mate does them for me for £20, but no fitter by me will do them for less than £40

i used blackcircles i ordered two Hankook V12's and got them fitted for free just turned up at the place they got delivered. Easy.

Sorry to steel your thread -j- but I'm also just about to buy 2x 195/45/r16's but I don't want to spend anymore than 80-90kwid due to the wheels not being on the car much longer, although I do want to do a couple of track days on them (will probably put them on the rear) what would people suggest? Thanks
