Tyres loose pressure drivers side only

Bit of a strange one this.

The tyres on the driver side of the car steadily loose pressure over 2-3 months but the passenger side don't.

I have swapped the wheels over and the same thing happens it's really odd.

Maybe kids let them down kerb side so they don't have to stand in the road.

Are you saying the tyres on the passenger side don't loose any air but if you put the same wheels/tyres on the drivers side they do? That's strange.

Tyres will naturally loose air/pressure over time as the oxygen molecules are tiny so the can seep past the rubber molecules... That's a benefit of having nitrogen filled tyres as the nitrogen molecules are the least permeable and stay in tyre for longer.

I meant as in dented as in where the bead of the tire sits. I've had one leak from there before

I take it that the rim which was previously on the driver's side is now not losing any pressure on the passenger side?

I am at a loss really as for what to suggest. When exactly are you checking the tyre pressure? Immediately after driving the car, a good few hours after, the morning after etc.? The pressures will vary a little as the car is driven and the air heats up depending on the roads you drive on etc. but this should settle down once the car has cooled down. Are you checking the pressure at a petrol station?

Checking pressures with my compressor and a separator pressure tester. When cars cold after being parked over night.

I can't see any dents so who knows.

Yep fine on the passenger side.

My tyres keep going down too - where can I get this nitrogen stuff?

Some service stations offer this service along with some tyre places.. Think my local kwik fit do it but be careful though as some places aren't properly regulated so even though they offer nitrogen it might not be 100% and may contain small amounts of other gases. If your having this done make sure they completely remove all the existing air/oxygen and refill with pure nitrogen.
