Tyres: Yoko Parada vs Goodyear F1 GSD-3?

I'm badly in need of new tyres for my turbo-tractor (aka the Ibiza) - a slight issue with the alignment has knackered my front tyres completely, although they've been needing replaced since I got it 4 weeks ago. Currently running Pirelli P Zero's but I'm not impressed

I'm needing 215/40/17s and can get my hands on Yokohama Parada's or Goodyear F1 GSD-3s at a very good price (a lot less then other brands).

I'm tempted by the Parada's - heard quite a few reviews saying they're just about as good as the F1s but last a bit longer.

Has anyone had any experience of either tyre, or can make any suggestions? Tyres other than the 2 I've mentioned will cost me more but if they're worth it then I don't mind spending a little bit more (although not too much as my tax is also up this month )

Cheers
Ally

Good site to buy these from guys?
Just fitted new Conti-sports all round?
How are these in comparison, I find conti-sports superb?

Just ordered 4 x Goodyear F1s in 215/40/17

Can't complain at the price (trade contact), from reading reviews they seem to a slighty better all-rounder than the Yoko's, particularly in the wet. Although the Yoko's might have a slight edge in the wet and on track, I'd rather have a tyre that's better in the wet...

I have gone from PE'2 to paradas

paradas are awfull in the wet, and i mean really bad, not progressive at all, either grip/no grip. but then again who gunns it when its wet?!
In the Dry, there quite good, but again, not very progressive on the limit, need to get some good heat into them before giving 110%. dont get me wrong, they grip very well, but only marginaly better than my PE'2. they seem to be very grippy at low speed i.e round abouts and tight 2nd gear corners.

thats my review, had them coming upto 3 weeks now.

Doh, last sentence should've read "Although the Yoko's might have a slight edge in the dry and on track, I'd rather have a tyre that's better in the wet.."

Se7en172 - try the usual suspects: mytyres, blackcircles, camskill. I'm getting mine from a tyre wholesaler in Edinburgh via a mate in the trade, no website though and don't think they deal with the public directly. The Conti SportContact 2's that came on my 172 when I had it weren't a bad tyre but there's better out there: the only other tyre I tried on my Clio were Uniroyal Rainsports and they were a lot better all-rounders than the Conti's IMO.
