UCH’s for clios

Hi all,

Does anyone know anything about UCHs (the computer that controls the central locking, electric windows, etc...)

I have an S reg clio (think its called a MK2 - newer shape) and Im trying to fit elec windows and central locking to it but I think I need to change the UCH unit.

Id like any info people have on them.

Any wiring diagrams or pin outs.

Can they be swapped from one car to another to upgrade?

Also does anyone have a copy of the wiring diagram in the back of the haynes manual (1998-01 version) that shows the central lokcing and elec windows as my copy hasnt arrived yet.

Dont bother mate - you will have to change the full wiring loom and ECU. It will be a lot of messing about and it will never be right. Get an electric window kit + locking kit from an ICE specialist - it will work out cheaper and a lot less messing

The dealers diagnostics equipment programs them.

They also control the imobiliser etc, According to the dealer once programmed thats it, it cant be used on another car.

Mine was at the dealers for 3 months with UCH problems they tried about a dozen before they could get one to work.
