Uh Oh... Drove a 197.

  Clio 197
It's quite a nice car actually. It's a different sort of car... but a nice car.

Quiet, comfy, smooth & feels big.

Gear change is super!

Brakes feel as good as the ones I have on the 182 (DS2500 + braided hoses + superdot4).

Twitchy arse... but it's not too snappy.

Handling is good - steering is a bit numb though.

Grip is excellent.

It sounds quite nice actually... and hits the limiter awfully quickly.

It pulls very very nicely. Unless there's something wrong with my car, I'd say it's just as good... only it keeps on going upto !00+.

With the mileage that I do (including country lane GPs), it would be a lot more suited to me.

I'd have one if it weren't for the price.

The dealer gave me two prices - 197 + a few options Vs. a 225+Cup pack. The difference was under £1000.

No way. No way. The 197 is far too expensive.

Hmm... well more people are starting to like it. It's still way too overpriced and lacks a cup version worth buying new.

There's a mint 04 Vee in for sale section for £16.5k which Id much rather get than a 197 at the moment.

;)
