uh oh. I’ve now got the 4k rattle

i though the pup was sounding raspier than normal at the weekend, so i did a little test last night. The results of which follow: i have the 4k rev rattle (it seems worse as the revs drop down past 4k, rather than revving up to it). To be honest, its not that bad, so here are my thoughts:

1) i hate my reno dealer, so id rather leave the zorst as it is. If i do this, will it get worse?

2) if yes, and it does need changing, is it a warranty job?

According to my dealer, I will have to pay about £160 towards a new midsection coz my car was 14months old when it started!!!

However they did say that it will not harm the car to leave it, only my ears as it gets worse (and it has).

So based on this I have decided to wait ‘till I can afford a Magnex (and when Magnex have decided if they have an exhaust to fit a mk 2…they are more confused than me) Probably around Christmas hopefully

??? Your car was 14 months old then it was still in Warrenty? Id tell Reno to get the hell on with it. Your car did not make this rattle when you test drove/ bought it, so why should you have to put up with it now. Get down to your dealer and kick some ass. Dont let slimey reno walk over you.

Same story as the rattling sunroof, and most of them have been replaced when prompted!

you know, I actually feel mental pain when i talk to my dealer. The thought of talking to the bozo in reception and the bozo service manager just depresses me. Id rather live with the noise then ruin a saturday dealing with them - i dont have the emotional strenght to cope with those clowns, but i can tolerate the noise. this is what reno has done to me.

Some people on here have said that the rattle just happens again when they replace it and so you just end up going in circles

The warranty book is very clear when it says exhaust covered for one year, they timed that one so right its not worth the hassle of leaving your car with em...........

Talking of dealers, I just rang them about the washer water bottle that Ive been struggling without for weeks oh yes that came in last week!! why oh why did they not ring me like I asked???

Bstards! Why do all Reno dealers have this "lazyness" attitude? I bet any other dealer, if the warrenty was out by a month or so, would do it as a favour, in hope to get some return business. The they understand customer relations? Tssers. EverydayMyRenoHateGrows.

Scudetto, mine has had the 4k rattle since day 1, at first I could be arsed to get it fixed, but it has just been in for its 24k service so I thought Id get them to look at it, to cut a long story short, its now going in tommorow to have it looked at again (3rd time lucky?) . Last time they replaced a bolt saying that would cure it, did it f*ck.
