Uneven Tyre Wear

  S2000
What are the probable cause of a tyre having uneven wear on it?

The inside edge of the tyres are nearly bald whilst the outer edges still have a little tread left on them. I'm guessing the only possibilities are that either the tracking is out or camber is wrong?

How can I tell which of the two is the problem?
Is the only way to sort the camber, if that's the problem, to fit those camber correcting bolts?

This is all based on a Clio 16v that is lowered quite a lot (not sure exactly how much but would guess about 55mm.

What sort of price would I be looking at to get the tracking done, and will the car being lowered be a problem? Can I get somewhere to check the camber?

Thanks.

Most probably one or both of the two. When mine was the same it was also pulling right. I took it to one of the rip off places (can't remember which for certain, possibly ATS) as I needed a new tyre that day (MOT) and the tracking (includes camber) was about £25-£30 IIRC.

Thanks, so does a tracking check always include a camber check/adjustment?

How is the camber adjusted? (just out of interest)

Any alignment shop will be able to adjust it properly for you. THey should be able to find out the specs from Renault
