Uneven wear between tyres

Hello

I bought two new tyres at the same time about 14k miles ago. Today I've found that although the front drivers side is only about 50% worn, the front passenger side is ready for replacement.

I thought that if the tracking was out it would be the wear across the tyres which would be uneven. This isnt the case as both of the tyres have even wear across them. The car doesn't pull to one side either. Does anyone known why one tyre could have worn twice as fast as the other?
