unlocking ecu

as some of you will know im doing a 172 conversion on my van, its pretty much finished now one of the last things i need is the ecu and uch i have to be compatible. as there both of different cars.

am i better of unlocking my ecu so i dont have to take it to renault to get it reprogrammed. or will unlocking it not do this ? and need it to be programmed by renault anyway?

think its 60 for renault to do it.. so just wondering howmuch it will be from some one else who can unlock the ecu

try -bba reman they can unlock/recode/decode pretty much anything. just google them there very helpful! you may need the numbers of the ecu uch tho when you ring them.
