Update of the Downgrade...

Ive had the car for about 3 weeks now... Absolutely loving the downgrade. I know its nothing compared to a 1.2 but im still loving it :rasp:
Couple of changes have been made in that time!

Heres how it was when I bought it:

First "mod" was my CS +10BHP sticker:

Then courtesy of DrG on here, waking up at 6am on a Sunday and a 450 mile/8 hour round trip later.......

Then today, did something about the terrible rear number plate:

Midway through change:

(took ages to clean all that crap off from underneath the plate)

To this:

Things left to do:

- KTR grooved rear brake kit
- Front Splitter (Most likely carbon splitter from K-Tec, unless a cup splitter apears at the right time)
- Cup spoiler

Standard wheels look SO good on a flamer.

Top work ;)

I liked the wheels that were on it before, ride height looks funny with the standard ones back on :S

Please take a few pics on flat ground, as atm, it actually looks like someone has put the wrong springs on the rear.

Standard wheels suit the flamer well, but the old ones were ok. Coming along though :)

I know, im doing a good cleaning session at some point this week.. Its in desperate need of claying and a good polish + wax. Ill take some pics after that in a "flatter" location lol!

The thing with the old alloys was that 1 of them was buckled, they had crap tyres on (no grip at all around corners, even at low speeds) and they were 17" which made the ride very bumpy!
Im going for the standard look tbh!

Much better but 450 miles for some alloys pffttt

I'd move it off that drive for shots next time though.

Why dont you just take pictures of your car OFF the drive? It does no justice to the change of the 172 wheels as it looks ridiculously high. Number plate was a good move.

Looks in great condition. I prefered the wheels that came with the car but didn't realise that they were 17s. Standard is also good.

Very nice - you need a new drive now the car deserves it! :p

Then lower it ;)
Cant lower it with the current drive. If I do, then it wont get down! :(

Absolute ballache when I had my 1.2, having to move my car everytime my dad wanted to go out! :S

Defo need a new drive though, but I think it will take some skill to convince my dad to do it :rasp:
