Upgrading Brakes

hi all,

i want more stopping power on my mk1 1.2 becouse it wont stop for hell, and i its not my tires not gripping.

theres quite a few people selling 16v calipers and discs on her atm, i heard you can fit them on? true? i heard you need a carrier (whatever that is) and i may need a master cylinder. could i do it without the master cylinder? any help apreciated

Im sure that you can fit them, but Im not sure for definite - have you had a look back through this board to see if you can find a similar thread? :)

standard brakes arent THAT bad...

if your discs and pads are ok, then get your brakes bled, then think about an upgrade.

16v calipers will fit, but youll need the vented discs aswell.

trust me the standard brakes are crap, mine must be knackered, i know i need discs as well, i found a guy selling calipers and vented discs for a good price probily cheaper than new discs and pads,

could anyone snap a pic of there brakes with the wheel off? so i can see the where the caliper and stuff bolts on and what the brakcets etc look like?
