Hello, can anyone shed some light?,i`ve had a bolt sheer off from the upper manifold to the lower inlet(at the front),would it make any difference to the overall performance?.I have purchased a used lower inlet to eventually swap over but do i need to do it sooner rather than later, any help would be greatly appreciated.ta.

You'll probably get away with 1 missing bolt for a short while as long as the others are secure and you have a decent sealing gasket. You'll know if there is an air leak, engine will rev unevenly especially at idle.

If the bolt has sheered off then all of the other bolts will be under more stress as the sheered off bolt is no longer taking any load/force. Could lead to other's sheering in extreme cases, if i was you i'd just drill it out, thread it again with taps and then put a new bolt (probably a slightly larger diameter than the others) in there. Sorted.

Just discovered today that my wife's 182 has two sheered in it's past life. Will have to keep an eye out for a second hand slower inlet. :(
