Uprated Engine Mounts

Yes K-tec sell the bottom mount and i have one on the car. What about the other two mounts>..?

Tom has told me he has some uprated ones but i have not heard back from him yet..

Anyone as im fed up of a rocking engine..!

Do an Omar to the engine mount so it hold the rubber mount tighter best stick some copper grease in there and if you can some harder rubber or get a new rubber mount.
Not much can be done with the gearbox one though.
You already have the second one the WIlliams/16v owners use to tigthen up the engine.
The only thing you could do is new mounts maybe.

I was under the impression that the ktec mount solved most, if not all the problems to do with knocking/movement etc?.... I was gonna add this to my 182 worth it?? or not?

I've got an uprated engine mount under the battery and dogbone mount, that thing was used in the Cliocup and rally.
I've also got an extra gearbox mount on the subframe from a 19 16V.

I still get the feeling that it should be tighter, but that would be just too uncomfortable as you wouldn't even be able to see anything in the rearview mirror.

Those Cliocup mounts are for sale over here for about €110,- for the dogbone and around €70,- for the under battery mount.
The mounts are still available from Renaultsport, so maybe your dealer can order them for you?

The extra mount the Mk1 Clios use is what the 172/182 use as standard.

Renault dealer will have a pain trying to get hold of race car parts but they can if they wanted to get them.

Ah Fred, Tom has some uprated ones fitted to his 182, problem is im still waiting for the details......

Said power flex made them for him and he had all the details and would forward them....it wasnt a stock item but they made them.

Will verify as soon as i speak to him.

You could get some of that stiff rubber used in making engine mount (I forget the techie name) but thats quite stiff. Remove the weak stock bit of rubbor on the top mount and pour that stuff in.
