Uprated engine mounts??

  In between cars....
Hi guys

Planning to poly bush the wish bones, arb's and get the uprated dog bone mount in the near future.

Are there uprated engine mounts available? And if so where from?

Cheers Chris :)

i think K-Tec offer a dog bone mount with uprated bushes and a company called Vibratec offer complete sets (although Vibratec mounts are very expensive as they go). i'd also be interested as soon as someone comes up with a sensibly priced set (unless someone already has - ?). surprised no one has yet as the std mounts are poor.

can't remember the circumstances but i've read on here that some have managed to snap the alloy battery tray (which the g'box mount is also bolted to) - it does look fragile, so that might be an issue with stiffer mounts

thats right....the grpA cars running solid mounts and rose-jointed wishbones, were a whole host of trouble *roll eyes*

I run polyurethane almost solid mounts. There is alot of vibration, but the engine sits lower than standard as it subframe mounted.

Worth the effort. As for wishbones i wouldnt bother as it changes the way the wishbones work and can be very detrimental to performabce.
