Uprated fuel pump? which one?

172 Cup & Clio dci Van
Think my fuel pump is shagged on my 172 cup, 53 plate done 60,500 miles.

So going to change it, seen too many posts bout it being in or out of the petrol tank, mixed messages where ever i look.

Anyone recommend me an uprated fuel pump? (thought might as well pay the little bit extra over stock one)

And do i need an in or out of fuel tank one?

Cheers

never heard of one going, so no idea on standard price. Just based my comment on you saying you want to spend extra cash on an uprated one. Price them both up . . .

well been having problems with my rev range, not going over 5.5-6k (limited not misfire)

Have checked all the sensors and all seem to be ok, i did get an 'injector fault' on the stalk diagnostic thing when it goes bing bing bing and the dials go all jazzy ages ago, reset it and nothing since.

Someone on here said fuel pump in theirs had gone and the stealers fitted new one and it was fine, he described the same symptons as my car. And if i think back i do remember the fuel pump area under the rear bench making weird noises one day (back is stripped) quite weird high pitched noise and now sounds quite clicky... period.

So i thought for the sake of £80ish quid i might aswell just change the f**ker...

If stock is £200+ then i can get a walbro for half that :-S

Will be changing over to omex/ or other aftermarket managment soon hopefully when i get my hands on some ITB's

If not then i could just make the omex wear the trousers and get rid of the what would appear safety limiter thing.

I am planning on going to see Mike from Rentech for some live diagnostic testing to see why its doing it. (He is on holiday at the mo tho.) assuming he can do that. Car isnt throwing up any codes? cant find any with my code reader.

and yes the car is warmed up fully before giving it some right foot.
