You've got me wanting to do mine tomorrow. You arse :(

Haha its the weather for it. I would suggest removing the mirrors, rear bumper grills and b pillar covers as a minimum, its 4 screws and a few clips and it makes life so much easier on these.

I've had them off before, because I'm a sad b*****d haha.

At least you've inspired someone this weekend.

Nice work!

I'm surprised the previous owner managed to stop with the state of the old brakes!

Cheers. It stopped alright, it wouldn't have for much longer though (pads) and the discs were an mot failure due to thickness and obviously condition.

Started the day like so. Not too bad tbh, just all the corners of dash etc needing a clean out with a brush.

The car will come with a few spares of o/s keyless entry sensor, lightly worn rear brake pads, some brake pins, 8 spark plugs, 4 of which have very little mikes on as well as the 4 new I just fitted, 2 stainless cv clips and grease, engine cover and bumper clips and a good condition spare tyre if needed.

Thats the car essentially complete, I have had my mate do some hi res photos today that I'll use for the sale ad and also post in here. The belt will be done at months end and if it goes before that the price will reflect that. That's if I don't hang onto it myself. I have turned what was a bit of an uncared for car (sorry Liam) into what I and all my mates think is stunning.

Can I book mine in ;)

Just send it up, £1500 alright aye? ;)

Can you not get the main bumper to bonnet shutline any tighter? Still a bit too big imo. Only criticism though, very good work Morgan

I will try again yeah John, its annoying me too. Its the first thing I look at in a prospective purchase. Its actually secured on all the points now as it wasn't before, I think the bumpers got a bit of a memory from sitting sagged for a while.

You've done a great job with it Morgan and yes ill agree i never really done much with it, purely because i was going through a hard time with my mrs and giving up my flat etc i never had time for the car. Glad to see that you have cleaned it up though, looks brilliant now!

This will be a good car for whoever buys it.

God i miss the interior compared to the basic clio cup :/

Oh and did you find out what was ratteling?

Faur enough Liam, I'm bordering on obsessive when it comes to cars anyway but it is a lovely car, over the last few days I have considered keeping it as my own but 3 cars is a bit excessive.

I had the drivers side out and yet to find anything, there's an annoying rattle/squeek/renaultness coming from the seat centre/console area that I'll track down.

As John says, they can be easy but in the same note they can be a complete A hole, I always grease the stub when refitting.

The seat belts are on the list mate yes, they are stinking. How i will go about it im not sure, I won't be stripping out the belts anyway, it will just have to be some old fashioned elbow grease.

That should cut down on any gravel rash on the front and rear arch.

Fecking mental, I have never seen so much leaves in a heater box. I had to go hoover the car again as when I turned on the fan it literally went every where from the dash to the boot :(.

When you taking the mudflaps back off? They look gash!

Did similar once with putting the fans on to help clear it out. Note how I said once!

Infact, that may be from my old place as there was always leaves lying around that bit. There was quite often leaves under the bonnet etc

Ha, they're not the best but from a far they're okay, they need darkening up to match the other plastics or possibly painted UR?

It was no mistake to do it, my fingers are 3" nae 12" you goat ;)

Cheers you might have needed a place to stay for a few days though haha.

I just used a selection of tapered punches to shock it at the seize point and then switched to parallel punches, wasn't a massive issue tbh with the right tools.
I'm glad Liam gave me a set of pins though with the car.

Is that the brakes on aye? Any pics of the mounts?

I tried straight punches at work but just bent them, £16 I paid on eBay for mintex ones which wasn't bad I thought

Not there not on yet brackets have arrived yet which is just the norm for me right now but I'll be sure to get same

if I was keeping it myself I would do the side strips red and wheels in a dark anthracite, and the .R spoiler.

Perfect! I don't like the black/red combo, especially the bump strips. I only like it on LY and GW (and still not the bump strips).

Sounds like it'll be a great car once you've finished, but it seems like a lot of time and effort if you're not keeping it.
