Bit of a bump on this, I'm putting the car up for sale tonight on here initially. I will write an advert tonight hopefully after I finish painting the engine cover and a few other little jobs on it.

PM if interested. As you can tell by this thread the car has wanted for nothing and will want for nothing for a good time having had all the service interval parts done and a lot more within the last 1000 miles.

Yeah @Matt e as Gaz said, just south of Aberdeen AB39.

During the track day I done and under hard cornering the tyres had rubbed through the arch liners and I had lost the cover on one side.

I got a set of complete arch liners to replace them.

Old v new. I cleaned them with g101 and poorboys trim restorer before fitting, no pictures though.

The engine cover had been annoying me as it let the engine bay down. The previous owner had rubbed it down but never got around to painting.

A couple of coats of high build primer and then then rubbed down.

A couple of coats of Renault silver (can't remember the name just now) and a few coats of laquer, although not perfect its a damn sight better than before.

I also received the airbag ECU back as it was being reprogrammed so I got that fitted and there is no SRS light on now.

My mate took a couple of high res photos for me and I'll use these in the sale ad, I thought I would post in here too.

Never raced or rallied, either. ;)

Nothing that hasn't been documented in here mate, if anyone wants to call me about it then I will glad fully point out every bad point it has which ain't much at all..... That is more than half the general public will do when it comes to selling a car.

I thought you would have put it up for a bit more really.

Car is worth every penny! Looks great in those photos

I have decided to put it up for more, everyone I spoke to said I would be nuts to let it go for so low but I'm just looking for a quick sale really. Preferably before I go away with work next week.

Ahright. Good luck with the sale anyway, someone will be getting a nice car.

If I had the money I'd buy it back after seeing the work you've put in haha.

@MG cup did you ever find out what was sliding about under the carpet? Just spotted the thread and remembered about it!

No I haven't heard anything tbh or found anything. What I did do was put sticky back foam on the passenger seat clasp, they seem to have missed it at factory as the drivers has it already and that stopped what sounded like a very loud rattle/noise.

Strange, it wasn't that noise. I did notice that seat belt buckle but it was as if there was a purse or something sliding from one end of the car to the other when you brake/accelerate haha

Yeah I had the carpet up when I cleaned the interior, I couldn't find nothing or didn't hear anything other than once when I got it. The new owner might find it though.

I sold it this afternoon. It failed its MOT on Monday for a broken spring and Sod's law the window regulator started to play up on the passengers side just as I was selling it. I was going to fix both but I had a great offer for to take it away as is.

Quick parting shot, at least I can say I owned one now and know what a curtain airbag looks like haha. I did 1500 miles in my ownership and quite enjoyed it, the drive was good, the French interior rattles and creeks not so much. Someone is going to get themselves a nice motor when the dealer sells it.

Jesus, both window regs were changed the Friday before you got the car! For brand new renault items.

Glad you got it sold, and I'd imagine you have made a fair bit of cash from the clio and megane so well done for putting the work in ;)

Did someone off the forum buy it?

I thought that was the keyless entry sensors that was done LiamR172? I don't think the regulator was totally goosed as it worked at times, I just didn't have the chance to take it apart for a look in the end.

I made enough mate and I enjoyed the car for the 1500 miles I had it... nothing on a Clio for fun factor though. I could have held out for more but I wanted it gone ASAP as I had some good news about a career change this morning so I took it to a local dealer that pays good money for 'prestige' cars.
