Cheers Chris. Aside from it spitting an injector out in the first month or so and the diagnosis costing me around £600, the car has been tip top. Honestly has not wanted for anything other than general wear and tear items (tyres/brakes). It's a joy to drive and still turns heads with the noises it fires out. It's just an effortless journey and reading up on the problems some guys have with the Megane's, it's clearly testament to your hard work and expense.

It's a carbon fibre R26.R spoiler I'll have you know

Having both cars insured means I can pick and choose which one bites the bullet in 6/12 months time. Quite an expensive compromise but don't really want to sell and have no real need to. Unless as I say stupid money is offered

Pretty much. They're R26.R alloys. Quite expensive too I think. If I ever sold the car (talking silly money), I'd sell as a complete package. It's also on R26.R suspension which isn't cheap either.

Looking to get an E46M soon, so the Megane would go in the garage for storing, but I have to say it's probably up there with my P1 for best overall car I've owned. It's been brilliant.

Not sure but Chris said it's more road focused than stock R26 suspension. I've never driven an R26 with OEM.

It's not harsh at all on roads. It's spot on.

R26r has softer spring rates than a R26 due to the lower weight and also re valved dampers too suit the softer springs

Took the Megane for a run out over the weekend. Made me once again appreciate what a stunning car it is. Hardly a cheap plug to sell either, as I'm now of the mindset that the BMW would go before the R26. Just an incredible all rounder; circa 300bhp, looks decent enough, sounds fantastic, returning 33mpg and oh boy can it shift when it needs to.

These cars aren't to everyone's tastes, and perhaps look a little dated now with the newer models coming into play, but I love it and I've found it almost impossible to put up for sale over the last few months.

Anyway, few snaps (albeit no tyre shine, as I was en route mostly):

However I need to get rid of the M3, Cooper S, Golf Diesel and one of my Motorbikes. I HATE selling cars so not looking forward to this.

The BMW is stunning mate, but I just had a look at the TRIP at the weekend on the Megane and it was 33mpg. I was quite pleasantly surprised. On the way back home last night, I was stuck behind a few cars, and on an open stretch, I dropped it into 3rd and planted it. The noise and ferocity of the acceleration was mental. You'll love it Cwissy. Just need the *right* mods. They are all listed on page 1...

IMO better than the m3, I just don't see the whole m3 thing though.

I washed and waxed the car a week or so ago and over the weekend the drivers side window was being a little bit of a c*nt. I was pressing the switch to make it go up and it wasn't responding. Kicked in eventually and it's fine now. I've already had that sorted once but it was almost 18 months ago now :clown:

I've just bought a Scangauge. I can't be on with designing a pod and having it matched to fit etc. Although from that link the SGII does look very nice sitting in the clock tower pod, so I may go with that route.
