urgent help please with amp/sub

fitting the amp and the sub into my mates corsa c. (both have no idea about batteries!!) where do we connect the power cable to on the battery? is is just on the same place as, say, the other cables coming out of the battery
? can it sit on top or will it short out?

any help appreciated!!

Want to connect it to the positive terminal on the battery as long as its secured on there should be no trouble.

yeah attach it to the positive, with a fuse in the line between the battery and the amp
