Urgent Help Please

Can someone please tell me how to undo the fan belt pulley on a mk1 1.2, I need to get the head off before tonite. I tried but it wont undo (got the crank wedged!) is it a left hand thread?

if your meaning your trying to undo the crank pulley have the car on the ground and put it in gear,not left hand thread

oof its propper solid job to do,we used an air gun,or a t bar with pipe on each end pulled by 2 people ,lol
