I was trying to fit my stereo today and the positive and earth shorted !! Now the alarm fob doesnt work and the alaarm keeps going off !! Ive checked all the fuses and they seem to be OK ! BTW its L reg 16v

Yup all fine ! The interior lights stopped working aswell !
Sorted now ! was one of the crap fuses that you cant actually see through to tell if its gone or not ! Replaced and its all good now !
