USB Flash Drive Speed ?

i want to buy one of these as the g/f's dvd player, and my xbox, can play films off em

but are some faster than others, and are some not suitable for this purpose ?

on the Sandisk site its listed as the 'Best Value' rather than best performance, is one really any faster than the other ?

yes some are much faster than others its more the read speed your worried about

but obviously the slower the write speed the longer it takes to copy data to it

would the manufacturer sites show the read speed ?

cant find anything on the Sandisk site

should i buy a 'ready boost' one ?

i dont want to spend a lot as i dont think ill use it that much but i do need it to work well so i dont wanna end up buying another if its not quick enough

sandisks site did have them on last time i looked
ready boost is only for windows 7 not a feature you need

seems they have changed it since last time i was on

if its only divx/xvid you shouldnt need to worry but 1080p would be an issue on most of them

i think most of em will be .avi files, seems Staples do the normal Cruzer for ~£8 so ill go get one of those tonight
