Usb Help Pls

Hi all,

before my pc had hard drive problems my usb worked fine, when i plugged in things like the ipod for example it would just work normally. since i have reinstlled my OS it's tells me i'm plugging a hi-speed device in to a non hi speed hub.

Any ideas why it's changed, it tells me something out a USB host controller? is it simply a case of software needed? i don't know for sure whether it's USB 2.0 OR 1.1, always thought it was 2.0 as never recieved this alert before and the pc is 2 years old.

Hardware tab

Device Manager

Scroll down to Universal Bus Controllers

Should say something like USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller

ok i'll check thanks could it be a 2.0 but with incorrect drivers/controllers?
