USB OTG question

does anyone know with usb otg, can you record from the camera straight onto a hard drive with usb otg? rather than record on the phone and transfer afterwards

it's going to be only a memory stick, so would need to be fast enough to keep up but can save straight to it on my HTC one M8

i bought one of these

I wana plug a 1tb hard drive into it and record straight onto it

the power comes from the phone so need to step up the battery voltage so i'd guess it has limited current

surely if the hard drive plugs into the mains there wont be any power draw issues?

I got one of those, it's very good for the £19 price tag from memorybits.

There was a cable in the xperia Box, but sadly you can't record straight onto an external drive
