Useless Bodyshops

  BMW 120i Sport

All,

My old car (fiesta zetec-s) is currently in Admirals "approved repair centre" in Edinburgh for repair to the back end for a rear shunt. However, theyve made a fking mess of the job - the panel gaps are enormous (about 1cm gap where there should be none), they didnt replace the smashed bumper/scuffed bumper moulding and it looks like an amateur 14 barry boy enthusiast has done the job.

Theyre going to fix it again and i fking hope they fix it properly this time.

Anyone had bad bodyshop experiences before and had to get it done again? Did they get it right the second time?

So peed off

just said on another thread that big companies who charge more dont neccesserily do better jobs. You get good ones and bad ones, prices vary all over, really just have to find the good ones.

as for 2nd attempt, what gaps are 1 cm big? tailgate to rear quarters? has it had new tailgate or rear quarters? they should get it right second time, if not, just send it back to em, the foreman will get his bollockin from the manager, who then b****cks the workers. all gets filtered down :)

Where the rear bumper meets the rear quarters and the bootlid there is about a 1cm gap, i can get all my fingers in it!

Its had a new rear panel, I know that much.

True FM, ive complained to Admiral; theyre taking it very seriously and are going to phone them first thing in the morning to a) find out what the fck went wrong and b) get it done immediately
