Utterly Filthy Zed.. Last clean of the year: (Winter wheel pics added)

So I'm currently doing heavy mileage for work, 150 a day, most of which are on the m25 (the road that makes your car more filthy than any other).

The car was so dirty I washed every panel twice, bumpers three times, a few recent down-pours had cleaned it up a bit, but it was hanging. 100% the most dirty this car has ever been in my ownership.

I'm without a computer entirely right now (pick up my New MBP later tonight) so I've done all this from a phone and photobucket)

I've made a few very nice changes lately, as soon as I have my computer back I'll update the project thread, by to list a few:

Winter wheels are off at the powder coaters and proper winter tyres are here to be fitted Tuesday :)
Rare (but awesome) cup holders have been sourced (these were optional wtf)
New hand brake gaitor (which is an arm rest)
New trim bits for the inside (generally tidying it up)
Roof motor has been fully refurbed and the roof is now amazingly smooth and lovely.

Private plate should be bought after Christmas, all comments/suggestions welcome :)

I think my car's only been cleaned once this year before CSS and I didn't even do it,
the rain seems to do a good job of it anyway.

Then again you could probably buy a minimum of 5 dog kennels for the resale value of yours.

I'm waiting to hear from the owner of the other car when his personal circumstances sort themselves.

Most of my upgrades are interchangeable so I can move things over, really I just like upgrading things so can't help myself :eek:

The miles seem to have done the car a favour, everything feels so lovely and smooth, it's like I've not been driving it enough and it was sulking, now it's proper happy! Lol!

If it stays, I'm fine with that, if it goes, I'm fine as the other car is a good GOOD buy and I'd be happy for mine to go in the condition it's in.

Looks lovely that, I would love to try and own a 2 seater like this for a while, sadly it just isn't practical enough :(

It's fair to say there was no shortage of shredded wheat in the Cub household when I was younger.

The wash mitt comment made me die a little inside. The zed deserves better.

I cant keep up with this whole car cleaning thing.. so now no sponges or wash mits?

Haha, wash mitts are fine but dirt shouldn't be grabbing at the mitt, It needs pressure washing washing and a pre wash.

Still not a huge fan of these. I think the front looks tired and sheepish.

Otherwise awesome, and it's a BMW so you win at life anyway.

Nice to see you're back.

You missed it but I could well be buying a facelift in the new year, just need to see if the seller comes through.

Ta, set of spacers and a drop should solve those and both are on the cards for the near future

It really is easy, it's hammering it down today but the car still looks a lovely bright silver!

Very nice! Agree on the spacers comment, makes such a difference. I don't get why they ever came so narrow at the back?
