Never a truer word spoken on here.

V6 is a special special car. NO other RS comes close. The Gearbox to me was fantastic the sound. I couldnt care less if it wasnt the fastest thing on the road.

If i won the lottery it would be the first car i buy.

The V6 is faster than any other Renaultsport made
The V6 is rarer than any other Renaultsport made
The V6 is not the best handling Renault sport made, but it is better than the 172/182.
The V6 is alot more fun than the any other Renaultsport. (Not driven R26R)
The V6 is the only Renaultsport that will be remembered for being "Mad"
The V6 sounds better than any other Renault sport

Look, you either like the styling or you don't... Thats up to you. I like them.

The V6 certainly sounds the best but is it faster than the R26R? Mad?...it's got ABS though!

Oh dear! Or are you only winning like £15k or something?

  Better than yours. C*nt.

But they put a big weight in the back and a load more power, then 'forgot' to put any form of traction control on it!

And if I won the lottery, I'd buy one for every day of the week!

On paper it is. Bare in mind the V6 is good for 165+. I had 800rpm to go and i was at 157mph, 170 on speedo. Does that answer your question?

It does, partly. 0-60/100 and in-gear times would be more interesting. Top speed isn't such a big deal but is quite impressive on the V6, by all accounts.

I know of this all too well. :dapprove: I got caught doing it back in September after outruning one of the local traffic bobbies. I didn't realise until they caught me up when I was slowing down approaching Northampton. I got a small ban and a nice fine for it. Not that Im bothered as the car is off the road being played with for the summer at the moment.;)

lol I remember when I took the v6 to 160 and lets just say...i never went there again. I would have been safer running at the speed ;)

Erm, are we talking to THE Knoxville here??

Oh, lordy. Is it wrong to feel but a mere minion in the shadow of your awesomeness?

Interesting switch from an Evo to a V6 - you must be one of the first? I've only driven a Mk2, but I agree with the comments about a Mk1 looking nicer (from some angles). I think it looks the purer, more 'to-the-point' car out of the two.

D.

Yeah it's me

Done with the Evos, time for a change. Some would say its backward but I only want one for the looks ;)

Some fairly strong opinions on here :D

A properly awesome motor. If they ever make another Back to the Future film, they should ditch the Delorian and use a Vee.

My only gripe however is that the wheels are not flush to the wheel arches which looks a bit funny. Has anyone added spacers to theirs to fix this, or is it simply not possible on the front?

  172 - 249bhp @ the wheels
It's not supposed to be that quick though? It's an 'experience', not a race car.

Having a lobotomy is probably an experience too... not for everyone.

Having driven BOTH models of V6 and that you are coming from an Evo, I think you'll get bored very quickly and want to mod or sell it.

Tbh my mate has had two evos a 5 an 6 both around 400 hp an has now got rid of them an got himself an s2000 which is not as quick but he says you need to be more of a driver. He reckons anyone can look good in an evo to a point?

you'd be brave to add them to the front IMO, the offset is huge already

A few have done it to the Ph1's and they apparently feel much nicer to drive. Infact, a good friend of mine fit 15mm hubcentric spacers along with slightly wider tyres and it was miles better than the standard car. Not sure why Reno never did it from the outset.

Yep, i've got 5mm spacers front and back. Makes a bit of a difference.

Depends whats important. I've always seen the Evo as a tool, characterless and having no soul. Fast, yes, but exciting NO! The Vee is an experience every time you drive it.

If you get bored of it, you'll be the first people to say that!!!
