Could someone please be an absolute star and photoshop the wheels a different colour for me?

Either red/white/anthracite/or any colour you might think will look good!

Thanks :)

I think you've probably got them in the best colour already to be honest!

I know that's much help, but it looks mint just like that :)

Yeah i agree! I have some 18's in silver on the way though :) so the 17's will just be spares and I fancy something a little different!

Couldn't agree more.

If you only rate it 6.5/10 as in one of your other posts, then its probably time to sell it and get something else.. You'll certainly sell it alot easier in standard form.

I rated it 6.5 compared to what else it out there. As in 0 being a daewoo matiz and 10 being an Enzo for example!

Pleasure mate, the purists will disagree but I think that looks much better, breaks the silver up without being ott

Still sounds pretty poor bud... I've not driven an Enzo.. but I'd like to think that if i had, i'd still get more enjoyment out of my vee than 6.5 out of 10 lol

Back on topic though, there are several owners that have re-furbished their wheels in anthracite. Look ok.. but just ok imo. The best improvement to ph1's in imho is to fit ph2 rims. 10 - 15mm spacers are required on the rear.. but they look spot on!

I totally agree, everything on the car is silver, so to break it up a little would be nice. I've looked at so many colour combos and nothing seems to work as well as a touch of black/anthracite in places.

The purists can do one lol.... each to their own I say :)

I haven't driven an enzo either lol, bad choice really. I drove a gallardo and an f430 on an experience day, plus I had a few passenger laps in a 360 cs around elvington and I have to say... they blew the v6 out of the water in every way really. It's all about the drama with the v6, the looks, the noise, the layout. But for me, they should have given it another 100bhp at least! It doesn't have the punch to back up the looks. Don't get me wrong, I love the v6 as it's a bit of a one off and it's a special car, but in my opinion 6.5 is about right.

I have some 18's on the way to me, as you say they suit the ph1's very well (seem to fill the arch gap nicely). Ideally I'd like some cromodoras i they're called. They look absolutely sexual on a silver ph1.

By the way, is that a lunar grey v6 you have? I've always wanted to see one in the flesh. They look amazing in pictures.

another vote for silver, i have discussed this option many times with myself and ive even seen a red one with anthracite wheels, and i just always come back thinking silver wheels always look the cleanest and best...

i think everyones opinions would have been different, had black wheels been an option from new, like on the 200's..but they werent, so will never be OEM..

Keep the wheels silver and spend the refurb money on a trophy spoiler, would finish it off nicely.

I've just been looking at 18" turinis in anthracite. I think they would look awesome on a v6.

Does anyone have the pshop skills to swap them on the photo?

turinis are a dead end mate, i think a member has approached speedline in the past and they wont make them in the correct offset...

im sure they would need about 25 sets to even consider doing it, plus theres also the fact that 18" turini's would look smaller than 18" oem mk2 wheels so this would put alot of people off..

would look great though im sure if you got 18s on a mk1

Personally i think changing the colour of the wheels will slightly devalue your car and will definately make it harder to sell. Its extremely hard to match the OEM finish so may never look the same if you try to change it back.

Ive seen all sorts of different wheel colours over the years and IMO nothing looks better on a vee than the standard wheels in standard finish.

The cromodoras do look great on a silver ph1, shame they are so hard to come by and expensive:

This is what I was talking about! These Cromodoras look so friggin good on a ph1! I'd love to find a set.

I now have the 18's in standard silver which will be going on the car as soon as I sort out some spacers. The 17's that came with it are a little shabby and I just wanted something a little bit different as they're only spare wheels now.
