V6 Wheels & Tyres

  Clio v6

I must get some new wheels soon as mine have lots of little scuffs etc. Do all you V6 owners stick to the original tyres for replacement. These so called "Specially developed for the V6" tyres, is this a must always replace with OE situation?

I have done 18k and this is will be my 4th set. Would anything else last a wee bit longer?

New wheels!!! Why not just get them refurbed??

I may not own a V6 so I may not be qualified to answer but....IMO tyres are tyres (unless you buy a really crap tyre OR are a race driver) Get what you can afford.

I have tried Prielli P Zero Nero, Toyo, Continental, Michelin Pilot Sports and could hardly notice the difference between them....except that the Toyos wore v. fast!

I havent found a company that will come and refurb them all while I wait. Most of them want me to send the wheels off. ( I cant even get one off never mind all 4. So it would be easier for me to go to a new wheel and tyre place like Elite ( Essex ) and have them replaced in one go.

I tried Wicked Wheels ( mobile refurb ) but after 3 appointments made they still didnt turn up.

The rear tyres latsed 12k and replaced them with Michelin, now coming up to 24k and looks as if I will have to buy a new set.

Think I will keep to Michelin. Have no real problems with them and seem to hold road in most conditions O.K.

All the best
