Valet Pro Citrus Prewash

This;

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/valeting-and-bulk/valet-pro-citrus-pre-wash/prod_728.html

So, by my calcs, I use about a half bottle of what ever pre wash I use (AF CP, CP RDS etc) on my entire car before pressure washing at the local garage (London roadside bodge detailing FTW). Do this roughly once a month.

CarPlan Rapid Dirt Shifter - £2.25p/l (as I bought a s**t load from Halfords and ASDA when it was in season) = £1.17 per wash
AF CP - £10p/l = £5 per wash, although can be diluted to same effect as RDS at 1:1 so actually = £2.50 per wash

The stuff above, 5l for £17.95 - diluted 1:10 in a pump sprayer means 100ml per wash = 50th of £17.95 = £0.359 per wash... So a clear winner.

Question is, is it actually LSP safe and does it remove grime in the same fashion as AF CP and CP RDS.

So, I need a volunteer who does a few thousand miles a year, rather than the 100 I do (i.e. a dirty car) to try out all three.

I use it: admittedly I am not an avid detailer - however, it seems to work just as well as auto finnese citrus and it has seemingly little effect on the C2V3 I have applied at the minute.

Thumbs up for me for price and quality.

It would be interesting to see if this stuff is actually wax safe, at the moment I'm using RDS as per above half a bottle per wash and then snow foaming for pure fun, it would be nice to see if it works well.

saying that I may do some tests with different dilutions of AF Avalanche as a pre wash and then snow foamed as its supposed to have a similar build up as CP does.

You're welcome to use my shed as a mule if you want mate.

It's a reet state currenty.

I'm averaging about 3-500miles a week. Been swapping between rds and diluted cp over the past couple of months since the offer. Only difference I find is the hard bug splatter.

I've heard great reports of the VP, but some report it as diminishing their lsp. Bought some VP advanced neutral snow foam and I haven't been wowed but it's grime shifting ability, general muck it works fine and at a low dilution

I use this. Its just as good as AF Citrus Power, except as above on very hard bugs. I had to break out AF CP after a track day, but this is good for everything else.

I rate it quite highly tbh

Interesting feedback and thanks Mike for the offer.

Toby, surely the dilution ratio affects this.

I'll update once I'm back next week and get some time to meet up with Mike.

Also, if it doesn't work, everyone who has posted in this thread owes their share of the cost of failure ;)

If you don't like it, I'll buy it off you - I like it.

I would recomend not dilluting though, I have done once and it didnt really do much.

No just a room :). Can't afford my own house yet. I know if I started buying in bulk, I'd have 4 or 5 of these in my room taking up much needed space

Ah fair enough, I can rent a space out in my garage for a 5L container if you'd like. I'm only an hour away from you, so a little 2 hour round trip each time you need the product lol

Sounds like a plan! Haha!

Looks like I'm sticking with CP for now at least
