Value my car - serious topic

first of all, im not trying to influence anyone but can you please only post serious, genuine replies to my question....

i have recently had an offer from the insurance company as a valuation on my Clio GTT which was written off in Feb

what i need from you, is how much, in your opinion, my car would have sold for/was worth if i had wanted to sell it before my accident, im asking this as i dont feel the insurance offer comes anywhere near close to what i feel its worth, especially as i have fully declared everything and i have all the invoices for the work

i realise my car would have only been aimed at a specialist market, i dont want answers of what i might have got part ex, or to what its worth to someone who doesnt know how much the mods cost and the quality of the work that was done on the conversion etc

please keep this topic serious as its very, very important to me, i may have to show this thread to the insurance company at some point

personally id say its got to be worth 2-3k. Standard RTs seem to fetch about 1k so considering yours looked tidy and the cost of GTT lump and fitting etc got to be in that region

Depends on the policy - some insurers will only pay out what it would cost to repair the car to standard regardless of mods. Check the small print and see if thats on your policy somewhere.

insurance wont see it that way though, to them, it was just a rt with a different engine in, so maybe a little more than a standard rt, prob £1500-£1800 tops i would have thought

I would say a little bit less than a GTT of similar condition so maybe 2/2.5k?
