Valver: Alternator Change

How difficult is it to change an alternator on a valver?

easy diy??

i am mechaincally minded but wouldnt take on a full rebuild!

done turbo swaps, rocker cover changes, exhausts, decats and the odd RT - Valver front end conversion!

Thats about it!

Bot changed one but took one fof before and put back on. Piece of piss! two bolts. Top and bottom and the wires.

Its a Valver need you say more of course its difficult.

Its not to bad by the sounds you'll be fine.

Im doing mine tomorrow, recon one all the way, 12 month warranty.

Look on here for a thread with alternator, some guy emailed me a link on the williamsclio.co.uk forum which has pics, loads of them on a step by step guide to do it. I reckon 2-3 hrs, 2 if everything goes well, to get it done, off and new one one.

Just a case of headlight out, loosening the bracket bolts and your away

Best place to get alternator is probably http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ about £70 for a new one/recon one.
