Valver clutch cable - Cable keeps snapping!

Car  Renault clio 1.8 16V phII
Hi guys,

This is now my 3rd clutch cable in 3 years of owning this car that has snapped.

Im getting thoroughly pis*ed off!

Is it a common problem with these that they keep snapping?

They have gone every time around the head where the ratchet is.

Has anyone got any tips for making them last longer!?

Cheers
Leigh

Yeah, do it right.

Take to a garage, pay £25 or so and bobs your sisters mothers friends brother.

Cheek on that!

You cant fit a clutch cable wrong surely! My dog could do it.

The last cable I had fitted (which has just snapped) was fitted about 3 months ago by the technician when he fit me a new clutch.

common problem, it does seem that usually it's just that they haven't been fitted properly. I've never had to change one though so couldn't tell you how to route it properly.

I've had the same problems with my clutch cable snapping at the top of the pedal!
It seems to sort it if you use a renault cable?
