Valver dogbone??

  Mondeo TDCI 130
Just been workin on my 16v, going to order a hillpower dogbone mount, has anyone ever fitted one of these? as it looks to me like the bolt wont come out without taking the downpipe off! :S , may be wrong, advice if you have it please before i strip it!!

they do come out easily, oinless the engine has been changed and the bolt been put in the wrong way round.

Im running a mk1 172 rear mount does the job alot better than the standard valver.

Cut the bolt head off and use a new one got to be the easier way.

NO point Imo the hill power one the stock ones fine get the R19 4th mount (same as the 172 gearbox one) to help reduce movment and turn the bushes round in the stock one 90degree of if you realy want remove the old bushes from your and fill it with some hard rubber /moldable plastic etc (cheap pun there I'm sure) Mark at Risckspeed did this with all his mount engine didn't move an iche care shook to heck but it was a rally race car so no huge issue.

Does anyone have a picture of where the R19 mount goes? I want to fit one to mine. It has had a new top engine mount, new dogbone mount, but still rocks a bit.

With regards to the bolt, you should be able to push the downpipe far enough out of the way to get the bolt out. Use a hammer/bruce force and it'll come out. Should have seen the state of my old dogbone mount when i took it off....

on the front/bottom of the gearbox, goes through the hole in the subframe and where the earth leads are it bolts to there.

Pain in the arse though as the aux pump is in the way!

done mine the other day even after dropping the exhaust ect it wasnt quite enough do your self a hudge favour and just get new bolts and replace them if i had done that it would have saved me about an hour!
