Valver EBC pads

  Renault Clio 1.8 16v
Since my brake pads are smoking after 3 corners of hard braking an fading pretty quickly, I'm considering getting new ones. Are the ebc yellow stuff pads worth it for fast road use? I'm still running standart calipers and discs.

You must have some proper Chinese/eBay specials! Or you're driving like your hair is on fire??
Have you changed the fluid recently?

I've run and would recommend:

Pagid Blue (RS4-2 is something like the code for them)
Carbone Lorraine RC5+ (others have said RC6 is better for extreme punishment but I can't comment on how good they are from cold)
Hawk HP+ (albeit on a different car)

Some rate Yellowstuff, others hate all things EBC. I had poor results with Greenstuff many moons ago so I am not so keen to recommend EBC kit, although it is reasonably priced.

Oh, and piiiiiiics :)

EBC Yellows are "OK", they cope with quite a bit of heat but don't give the greatest braking performance or modulation, they are also like wood from cold. Alright for the money I guess but it's worth spending extra IMO.

Thanks for all the feedback, appreciate it.

The previous owner changed all of it in the last 2 or 3 years, I never touched the braking system since I got the car almost 1 year ago.

Thanks, I will look into those :)

Don't need pics, you probably know how a standart valver looks like :p Got new rims and an exhaust ready for summer though.
