valver PAS and alternator info



  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
does the valver come with no PAS on any models?

or

if it does come with PAS is the bracket that mounts the PAS seperate to the alternator one?

i need to run the engine with no PAS pump and as less brackets as possible.

i was going to use a 106 GTI electic pump for the PAS to keep the AUX setup as basic as possible.

spose i could use the valer set up and use the PAS pump off that in the belt line and grina nd bear it,?

if i go for the cup setup then Renault want like £170 for the brackets, £100 alternator and £100 for the pump and lines.

do the valver backets fit the 172 block?

why not solve a few problems and get a manual rack?

whats stopping you using 106 electric pump?

nothing, well i cant get an alternator and bracket that fits the 172 whithout having the PAS pump

iirc, you can run a volvo/rsi alternator bracket to rid of the pas. A guy on here with a 172 engined mk1 used this and has a manual rack.

why not use the elctric rack found in the diesel mk2 ph1's and take a reading from the abs unit.... if your keeping abs.... which i dont think you are.

wayne uses a renault safrane alternator and bracket iirc but i cant find one of the bleeders

he has also said a volvo 440 alternator and bracket which im looking at now, but as per my other post in here they have 2 different types of bracketa and i dont know which one i need!!
 
Ben if your keeping the ABs as we reconed you should do then just get one of the high power 80AMP (from memory as fited to dci and 1.4/1.6) electric rack and use that the system stand alone just need to give it power and tell it the speed your doing which is easy with the abs syetm as it has a feed out.

just run retro with no power assisted steering itl be fine arent the small engined mk2 ph 2 clios electric power steering
