Valver temp gauge and heating broke!!

Hey just got a few questions about my bros Mreg valver, he says that his temp gauge doesnt work anymore, no matter how long he drives for it stays on 0. Also he says he isnt getting any hot air coming out of the fans its always cold.

Any ideas, fuses?? or will he need new parts if so what parts does he need?

if its the oil temp guage they often dont work, a new sender shoudl sort that at £40ish and its usually a buggered heater matrix responsible for lack of heat

thanks for the replys, too dark and cold to check fuses etc at the mo, think he is gonna take it to a garage to get looked at soon. What sort of prices are the heater matrix's? And are they easy to fit yourself.
