Valver Tyre Confusion!

Looking at getting some new boots and im confused! On MyTyres it has this:

PROXES T1-S 195/50 R15 82V Rim-protection only £ 32,40

PROXES T1-S 195/55 R15 85V Rim-protection only £ 45,80

Eh?! why are 195/55s so much more? Im presuming I can run both on the standard valver alloys but whats the justification for paying another £53.60 for the extra rubber?

Please explain!

Weird size thats why. Anyway Valver standard size is 185/55/15 not 195/55/15. Ended up putting 195/50/15 on mine as they are cheaper and more tyres available in that size.

yeah 195, 50 are well more common so theres your answer

and 185,55 the real size of tyre on the 16v costs even more, kwik fit the planks want £100 per corner for a michelin in that size !!

needless to say i didnt get any from them !

Yeh I have standard 185/55s on now el cheapo tyres that were on the car when I bought it - four brand spankers too, its fun when you dont have to worry about wasting rubber!
