Very cheap, very good Wheel cleaner!

I went and checked Tescos by me, the massive one in Watford and no joy.

Thought I'd check Halfords, £9.99 ! No ta.

It's only in Petrol Station shops gang. I looked in the huge Tescos near me first of all, nothing other than the usual 3M and Simoniz products. Then checked the petrol station in it's car park - success!

Danny, it's good for unprotected wheels. Protected wheels will just jet wash clean with a pressure washer or warm soapy water.

Tesco petrol station in Failsworth had 2 left yesterday as far as I'm aware. I didn't want to clear them out completely.

Meant to be going to the same area this weekend. If I find some, I'll buy some and shove it in the post to Budgicles and you, Danny.

I dont want to put a downer on things, but apparently wonder wheels is a very acidic wheel cleaner and can cause damage to the alloys when it is used on a regular basis...

Have a quick search, there might be a detailer that pops up to confirm things.

This is just what i have read when i did a google search so dont shoot me down lol, just a heads up...

I think your getting your products mixed up. Theres another product thats acidic, but Wonder wheels 'Hot Wheels' is non acidic. I use it every weekend when i wash my car and its not doing any harm.

Thanks for the possible heads up though!

As above. But at least you have the sense to forewarn others :)

There are some on DW, Ant. If you can't find them I'll hunt them down at lunch. Basically, the outcome was that WWHW reacts with dirt as well to turn red (from purple liquid) so not quite as easy to see the colour change, nor as effective, being a grime cleaner rather than dedicated fall out remover. Hits with IronX after being cleaned with WWHW still showed up contamination. Multiple hits with WWHW provided decent results, however.

I should state, again, that my use of this product is as a London based car owner, without access to my usual gear, with wheels that need a refurb and thus are not protected. So this stuff removing protection is not a concern for me.

Cheers JD (I'm spending less and less time on dw as a lot of people on there wind me up)

I may just grab a few bottles to leave in the bottom of my cupboard for a rainy day.

I'll bring one to The Unit when I get over that way mate. No doubt the Panzer will be filthy, so I'll show and tell :D

Just used some of this, good stuff especially for cheapness! Although due to red wheels I didn't see it do its "business".
