VERY Weird Problem

Just come to my attention today that if i keep the brake pedal pressed and turn the key and take it out the engine stays on and i can still rev the car. soon as i release the brake the engine cuts out. And when i press the brakes when the engine is off all the electrics start.

Weird but what could be causing this.

a friend of mine had this problem but with when the sidelights were on and it was due to a single filament bulb fitted into a double filament holder and bridging the gap!

Spot on there mate, was messing about with the rear clusters last week, all sorted now, cheers again
