Vibrations and steering problems

  Clio 172 mk2
Basically at low revs on acceleration I can feel vibration through all the pedals on my 172FF, which will go away after 3k+ RPM. Also the car steers left and right on its own accord! I feel as though I am continually correcting the steering! There is also a knock when cornering tightly at any sort of speed...and finally a slight lift in the car when turning full lock.

Kind of hoping these are all related! The car has been tracked, had new tyres, wheels, strut top washers, track rods and track rod ends, disks and pads as part of general servicing...but the problem has not gone away. My local garage couldnt find anything and said all the steering components appear fine, inc. ball joints, bushes, steering rack etc..

Any help appreciated before I book it in at a specialist. Rob

'wobble' through the steering wheel under acceleration (that you can feel in the whole car sometimes) may be dry CV joints on the driveshaft(s), which means they grip, don't drip, grip, don't grip... at the joint, which gives the wobbling feeling.

Check your CV gaiters are intact and if they aren't get them replaced! If they look fine then could be worth peeling them back to check anyway :)

I'm pretty sure that the repeated clicking at regular intervals on full lock is another sign of a dry CV joint.
