Video connections (TV Question)

  500bhp Scoob
Am just wondering whats the better option, Svideo or using the RCA phono connection (Not sure what its called, not heavily into the AV Scene) as I'm looking to connect my set top box to my projector, which doesnt have scart, but has these connections :
1 D-Sub (VGA/Component/HDTV) input, 1 composite RCA input Jack, 1 S-Video Mini DIN input

My set top box doesnt support HDTV, but has a scart out, and ive got a scart converter box that'll do both s-video and composite.

Thanks

Svideo is better but if you are feeding from a scart which you slit there will be no improvment over the composite from the scart (RCA plug).

Cheers iPap :)
Ok, i'll just invest in some RCA cable then, and get some couplers so I can just switch between my consoles and the cable box

well if i was you id run svideo from the setop box to projector as thats better quality than composite (the yellow rca plug)

done the best of both worlds, was gonna just get the composite cable, but ended up buying both the s-video one and i bought just over 5 meters of high quality oxygen free digital audio cable (same impedance as normal video cable for rca's) and a couple of good quality phono connectors and made up a cable.

That way i can plug my games consoles onto the composite and svideo for the cable set-top box
:)

Might even buy some component cables as i've got that output on the xbox (maybe even the ps2, but not looked for any kits)
