video files to dvd format!!?

as above any programmes that can convert video files (i.e avi, mpeg etc) to dvd format so it can be played in a normal dvd player???

Had this nightmare, Sony DVD Architect 2.0 did the trick..

Nero and Roxio are the two main players. Apparently Sony DVD Architect is good as quoted above.
